Overview

The ancient water town of Zhujiajiao can be safely called the ‘Venice of Shanghai’ known for its charming old bridges, rivulets shaded by willow trees and the sightseeing boats that sail across the backwaters. The village boasts 36 stone bridges and numerous rivers, with many ancient buildings lining the riverbanks.

Dating back to more than 1700 years, Zhujiajiao is one of the most well-preserved ancient little towns of Shanghai, peacefully nestled away from the hustle and bustle of the main metropolis. Walk through the narrow bylanes of the town and learn about its history. Enjoy a boat ride (direct payable) and be mesmerized by the tranquil and serene surroundings.

Your Zhujiajiao entrance ticket allows you access to the major attractions of the small town, including the Y-Art Gallery, ZhaXiDaWa Tibetan Cultural Hall, Qing Dynasty Post Office, City God Temple, Shanghai Handwork Exhibition Hall, Imperial Academy Stele Museum, Quanhua Art Hall and Kezhi Garden.
