The Sentosa Merlion stands at 37 metres high and visitors can take an elevator up to its mouth and have a photo taken. Walk up about 20 stairs to the very top and enjoy 360 degree views of Sentosa Island. You can also head down to the café and shop to indulge in delicious Singapore treats!

The fascinating legend behind Sentosa Merlion: It is believed that Merlion frequented Sentosa Island each year with the sole purpose of guarding the country’s well-being and prosperity. One night, the island was almost ripped apart by a violent storm but Merlion fought back and kept destruction at bay with his magical powers. Thus the island was saved and Merlion has since dwelt on the island to preserve its well-being.
