Visiting the Great Wall can be nerve-wracking with the tons of tourists thronging to this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hence, entering the monument from the Mutianyu section will help you bypass the large crowd and provide you a less-touristy experience of the Wall. Hike the oldest parts of the UNESCO World Heritage Site as well as unbeatable views of the surrounding dense forests.
Travel faster to the Wall with either a Cable Car Ride or Toboggan or Chairlift ticket that will take you to the top of the Wall, saving more time for photo sessions.
Get Familiar with Mutianyu!
There are two main access points to the Great Wall of China – Badaling and Mutianyu. While the Badaling entrance is commonly used by people to enter the Great Wall, the Mutianyu entrance sees lesser crowds due to its remote location and consists of the older parts of the Great Wall.
The major difference between Mutianyu and Badaling section is the lush green landscape surrounding the Wall. Covered by dense forests and wild flowers, the landscape changes colours with seasons and gives a new perspective every time you visit the Great Wall. Notice some unique architectural features only seen on this part of the Wall.
