Activity Schedule

Discover a truly unique side to Bangkok and visit the main tourist hotspots as well as the lesser known locales of the charming city. Enjoy a guided tour of the famous Grand Palace that boasts a rich history of kings and sages, and is an enduring symbol of Bangkok. Visit the sacred temple of Wat Phra Kaew, considered the spiritual centre of the nation.

Visit Wat Pho, a temple of great significance in Buddhist Thailand and see the golden reclining Buddha. Board a traditional Thai boat and glide across the River of Kings through Bangkok’s serpentine network of canals, which bespeak a more ancient mode of commerce.

See communities that still depend on the canals for their livelihood in the “Venice of the East.” Enjoy a Bangkok tour with a difference and see the city from the perspective of locals. The canal tour promises a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of the city and the Grand Palace tour is sure to leave you awestruck with its sheer magnificence!

Walk a little distance and board a longtail boat from the banks of the Chao Phraya River, or River of Kings. Enjoy a beautiful ride and understand why Bangkok is known as the ‘Venice of the East’. Glide through the network of ‘khlongs’, or canals. Many of the khlongs have been filled in over the years and converted into roads. You will come across many Thai communities as you navigate the beautiful waters. Take in the old world charm of the Bangkok canals, away from the bustling city centre!

Next, continue to The Grand Palace. Built in 1782 in time for the coronation of King Rama I, the Grand Palace served as the official residence of the King of Siam, the Royal Court and administrative seat of government until the early 1900's.

Though no longer the official residence of the King, the Grand Palace is still very much a spiritual and political center of the nation, and is used for a variety of ceremonies during the year. Stroll through the Grand Palace and take in the fairytale charms of the majestic structure. Your guide will fill you in on the history of the Palace and the most sacred Buddhist temple in Thailand, Wat Phra Kaew. The sacred temple is crowned by golden chedis that houses the revered Emerald Buddha. (There is a strict dress code for the Grand Palace visit. Please refer to the Please Note section for more details).

You will next visit Wat Pho, a temple of great significance in Buddhist Thailand. Wat Pho is famous for its golden reclining Buddha and is the birthplace of the traditional Thai massage. An absolute must-visit when in Bangkok, your guide will take you around the temple and regale you with interesting facts and stories about the place.

Your tour comes to an end as you see the reclining Buddha. Continue sightseeing on your own or return to your hotel. Feel free to ask the guide for any kind of guidance.
